Biography
Brianne Taylor is a singer, songwriter, and producer from Queens, New York. Growing up her inspirations were R&B andPop artists such as Christina Aguilera and Alicia Keys, but into her teenage years, as festivals such as Warped Tour and Bamboozle were on the rise, she was heavily inspired by rock and alternative bands such as Paramore, Pierce the Veil and many more. Her parents also gave her inspirations before her time such as The Doors, Pink Floyd and Red Hot Chili Peppers. Other heavy inspirations include Amy Winehouse, Nirvana and Green Day. These mesh of sounds all contribute to her original sound today.
She began attending live show at a young age, which motivated her and if anything became educational for her. Live music and festivals are where she realized music was something she wanted to spend her life doing.
At 19 Brianne moved to California by herself to expand her connections on the West Coast. She produced many songs out of just her iPad, and actively posted on Soundcloud. She was also actively in a band with friends while she lived there. At 21 she moved back to NYC, when she began to receive more opportunities on the East Coast. Since then she released 2 singles, and performed countless times, one significant show being at Brooklyn Bazaar with around 400 people in attendence.
Her EP, Modern Day Love Story, is an 8 song project that she made entirely herself in her basement. The project colorfully represents love, misfits, and self growth, and lyrically speaks volumes. Some songs would be considered what she calls "alternative R&B" but the intro of the EP, Voices, is a psychedelic rock instrumental, and the outro, Heavenli, is a slow guitar jam with ocean waves in the background, a song she made when she picked up the electric guitar for the first time. This project really is a representation of her wide variety of inspirations growing up.
Brianne currently manages herself and all her distributions.
