Aghia Sophia

Aghia Sophia's project was born in September 2006, when the brothers Sergio and Carmine Cipolla begin to write the first songs, collected in the first self-produced publication entitled Autunnale (December 2013). From September 2013 they begin working with the Calabrian singer Dario Denis Cassiere, author of Multipolar Vol. 1, with whom undertake an intense live and production activity under the name of Denis Cassiere & Aghia Sophia, bringing live music taken from the repertoire of both artists, and other songs written together. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLa1wI5nIQKtSp-KVfack0LS9R0tROZYtp Parallel to this artistic collaboration, the band continues its work of writing and production that led in March 2014 to the second self-produced publication, entitled Dobro. The duo continues the live activity with the project Denis Cassiere & Aghia Sophia, coming to perform at the regional finals the Arezzo Wave Festival where, despite not being selected to represent the Calabria, the band receives considerable support among the public. Since June 2014, the band stops live activity to concentrate herself on studio work; This branches off in two different publications: The Bagpipe of vice, as Denis Cassiere & Aghia Sophia (November 2014), and Another Forgotten Love, under the name Dr. Head & The Vertigos (March 2015) with the participation of other collaborators and fellow musicians . Currently the band is involved in the preparation of the third Aghia Sophia's work and organizing a tour, in which will be involved, starting in October. The repertoire will figure disc tracks already published and some unpublished.
