Biography
An R&B drummer, classical guitarist, worship guitarist, jazz bassist, anthem rock pianist, and theater vocalist walk into a bar. One says to the rest, "Hey, worst case scenario, we have a good time."
The Governors are a Boise-based group of musicians from very dissimilar backgrounds who share a love of making music. We write and perform all our own material with the goal of mixing our individual styles into one cohesive soundscape. We believe music has the power to move and inspire people; to be a force of change and influence, and we call ourselves "The Governors" because we want to be intentional in the way we use our music to speak purposefully.
With four of our six members being current or former Boise State students, The Governors are excited to explore the music scene in and around the Treasure Valley. Their debut album, “Power to the People,” releases in March of 2021.
