Biography

Manuel Arvelaiz is a young tenor and singer of a romantic musical, possessing a versatile voice that allows him to walk through the most demanding lyrical repertoire, as well as interpret classics from the crooner repertoire. Throughout his career he has managed to share the stage with artists such as Il Divo, Julio Iglesias, Dyango and Diego “El Cigala”, among others.

In 2008 he made his operatic debut in the Rios Reyna room of the Teresa Carreño Theater, playing the role of Alfredo Germont in La Traviata, by Giuseppe Verdi.

Arvelaiz has conquered the most important Venezuelan scenes; such as the Aula Magna of the U.C.V., the Palacio de los Eventos, the Baralt Theater, the Teresa Carreño Theater and the Poliedro de Caracas, among others.

His debut album “Historias de Amor” (2015) is a collector's production produced by Latin Grammy winners Daniel and Yein, which includes covers of iconic songs from romantic music in Spanish, as well as marks his foray into the facet of singer-songwriter, participating in authorship and co-authorship of 7 of the 13 songs that make up this record label that walks through a variety of rhythms ranging from ballads, bolero and funk. It is available on all digital platforms.

His first promotional "Qué Locura Enamorarme de Ti" achieved great acceptance in the Venezuelan public, managing to position himself in first place in the Top Balada for five consecutive weeks. This first single has a video clip made by the great director Nuno Gomes and has more than half a million views on his YouTube channel.

“En Carne Viva”, his second promotional cut managed to place for more than fifteen consecutive weeks in the number 1 position of the top ballad in the Record Report. His third single, “Por Ella”, written by its producers Daniel and Yein, co-authored with Miguel Ignacio “Nacho” Mendoza, was the reason for an extensive national tour of concerts held in all the Sambil Shopping Center venues located in Venezuela.

As a result of all his work and the recognition of his audience, he receives 5 nominations for the Pepsi Music Awards in its 2017 edition, in which he stands as the winner in the Pop Disco of the Year category for his production “Historias De Amor”.

In the middle of the same year, he became part of the Saturday Sensacional program and the Reality Show “La Voz Imbatible”, broadcast by Venevisión, where he served as a jury and where he also had the opportunity to present his greatest hits on the Idols Stage.

In November of the same year, he received the honor of being invited to participate in the Miss Venezuela 2017, where he wrote with Daniel Espinoza, a song to commemorate the 65th anniversary of the contest and that he interpreted during the selection of the 5 finalists, being the first artist throughout the history of the event to sing and name the candidates at the same time.

Since 2017 he has lived in Miami (Florida), where he has developed various musical projects, including “To Love Again”, “Concert a Venezuela” with the Miami Symphony Orchestra and “Viva El Romance” with Maestro Alejandro Campos.

Since the same year, he is recognized and accepted as a voting member of the Latin Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences (LARAS), which awards the Latin Grammy Award.
