Biography
Eli Gauden is an independent acoustic artist from Norway. She has a sound that can best be compared to artists such as Anis Mitchell, Joni Mitchell, and Gillian Welch. She writes in styles with long traditions; roots/folk/blues. It's easy listening and relaxing, and through the music she speaks with an honest and true voice that people can connect with. Eli was nominated for the Best MA songwriter Award 2016, and also received Berklee College of Music’s Songwriting award scholarship last year. Eli has the last 4 years played shows in Boston (USA), Spain, and Norway. The last 6 months she has, on an average, played about one show a week; in bars, cafes, official concert halls, galleries and other private events. She has earlier opened for Canadian artist Wendy McNeil of Spanish artist Hugo Mass. This coming May Eli will finish her degree from Berklee College of Music, and at the same time release a new full-length album. Earlier releases include two EP’s; The Walk, and Somewhere(the latter a self-produced demo-EP)
