That’s how DJ Funksolo describes his sound. He takes a simple approach to DJing, emphasizing song selection and transitions.
As a DJ, he sees himself as a Storyteller, equipped to tell an epic story where each track is in conversation with one another.
To accomplish this feat, he use various mixing techniques. Aside from EQ, FX and light scratching, DJ Funksolo uses timing, mixing in key, and phrase mixing to seamlessly blend from one song to another.
He specializes in playing Jazz, Funk, Disco, Soul, Hip Hop, R&B, Neo-Soul, Deep House, Broken Beat and Nu Jazz.
