Biography
The first time the idea to make this band was in 2008.
Guy SEGERS, Fabienne VDP and Eric LEMAÎTRE who ever played in the band GUTS get together to talk about doing a new band with new musical perspectives.
The idea is to go thru all kind of musical genres, do some compositions, covers and also improvise......
After a while Guy proposed Danny VAN HOECK as drummer. They played together before in the band "X-Legged Sally".
When Danny came to the rehearsal, the two others didn't know him at all, and we start to improvise, so that we could feel if the spiritd fits together.
It was obvious, we were a band !
So we decided to play immediately, even if we didn't have some "songs". We could make a set completely improvised !
At this first rehearsal we recorded what we played, and from this music we build a piece that became later "About Awakening".
We put some parts of the improvisation together which becomes a structure for a song. From there we only had to learn our own parts in another order.
We put together a all set of tunes including compositions, improvisations and covers. When we had enough music to make a complete concert, we start to play live.
With what we want to play, the different styles it include, we have to admit it becomes hard to work it out with 3 instruments and a singer. Guy Segers introduce Andy Kirk who came to see the band live, and everyone agree that he would be the man to join on keyboards and give the band a rich sound. He is supposed to join in 2013.
In January 2013, suddenly Eric Lemaître died from cancer, and Fabienne, Guy and Danny are devastated.
Just at the same moment Andy Kirk is ready to join the band. The situation is completely different and instead that Andy join to play the keyboards, he learn the majority of the music on guitar.
