Biography
54 West actually began in the Fall of 2012 in the form of a funky little shack in downtown Hillsborough, NC. It was called 'Billsborough Live Music Hall'. Before that, it was 'Katy's' and before that, it was called 'The Blue Bayou'. Bill West, a professional musician, owned and operated the space until partnering up with fellow musician and long time friend, Brad Newell. Together, they formed a plan to expand and in the Spring of 2014, 54 West was born. The new club is located on Highway 54 between Chapel Hill and Graham and minutes away from Saxapahaw, Mebane, Burlington, and only 30 minutes from Greensboro and 45 minutes from Raleigh.
With nearly 9,000 square feet, plenty of parking, and indoor and outdoor stages, 54 West continues to feature local, regional, and national talent.
