Biography

ROKTOY’S music has been dubbed by some as Future Rock. Uniting blues-based riff guitar rock with groove-oriented synthesized bass and hard floor drumming along with soaring rock vocals that can be gritty then sensitive... give ROKTOY a future rock sound original to the ears.

However ROKTOY’S rip roarin’ rendition of classic rock songs such as AC DC’s “Back in Black” prove their authenticity.

ROKTOY is known for their stage synchronicity and charisma... and it’s no surprise, 3 of the talented members are best friends since childhood.

Frontman singer-songwriter TRACE DEVAI (Alice Cooper, Lenny Kravitz) formed ROKTOY in Los Angeles when his voice changed and he gained a higher octave range inspiring him to write lyrics and melodies to 30 songs in 6 weeks.

Trace phoned guitarist BRANNON ROLLER LEE from San Francisco and they began collaborating on the music.

Drummer JAYNOVA from Massachusetts was originally the protools engineer on the project. “On breaks, Jaynova would sit behind the drum kit and jam. Until one day I said you should be our drummer” states Trace.

Bass synthesizer Keyboardist TEE MONEY also from Massachusetts came to Los Angeles following his friend Jaynova. TEE tagged and along to ROKTOY recording sessions and frequently played keyboards, also on breaks. He soon joined the band.

Back in New Hampshire, feeling left out guitarist CHRIS TOMPKINS flew to Los Angeles and joined the rock quintet with his best friends TEE Money and Jaynova.
