Biography
An Experimental Rock/Art rap project from Orlando, Florida. Profe Fool uses mercurial song structures, seamless genre blending, unique harmonies and bleak, dystopic, absurdist lyrics of rapper Amiri Brown to create a sound that can only be heard to be rationalized. While Profe Fool uses a lot of elements of the rap/rock formula their rock instrumentals owe more to bands like King Crimson, Mars Volta and Can then Limp Bizkit. Brown’s lyrics while very political like rap rock acts also maintains a sense of dark futurism similar to Run the Jewels/ Death Grips as well as the Ballardian transgressive lyrical vignettes of Danny Brown. Despite the inherent bleeding edge nature of Profe Fool this project could fit any concert bill and still maintain a sense of individuality in any performance situation. The wide range of music and lyrics from this band allows them to appeal to a wide audience range from deep cut record junkies to people that just want to groove out and hear something fresh.
