Biography
It is a beautiful story that brought Winston Freeman and Nizha Bustos together in this life, as it has done in all previous lives. Winston was a drifting street musician floating around Amsterdam, singin, learning and living old folk songs and his own blend of covers under the guise of 'The Dead Sea Captain'. Nizha was travelling through Europe with her violin after month in an artists residncey in Finland. They met in Amsterdam, started busking together, fell madly in love and became inseperable for the whole summer.
They played on the streets of Berlin, Got engaged in Paris,Played in the arch ways of Dresden. Hitch hiked and busked all around the Scottish Lowlands, meeting some beautiful, crazy people along the way. With Nizha going back to Argentina in Autumn they set about recording a CD together. They spent a month in Winstons home town in Liverpool and made a beautiful little record. 'Melodies for the Moon' captivated perfectly their summer of travelling and busking and falling deeply in love with each other.
Nizha left for Argentina and Winston went busking on a boat in Amsterdam. It was not good being away from each other for either of them, so Winston made good money in Liverpool from singing on the street and bought a 1 way ticket to Argentia to be with Nizha in the desert. They set up a studio in the middle of the mountains and spent 5 months making a truly stunning record together. 'Where The Days Have No Name' is the very special sounding album they are about to tour with.
