Biography
TWC (The Warm Collective) formed in 2016 and is hip hop, soul, funk & afrobeats music collective comprising of rappers, singers, musicians and producers based in the North East of England. TWC's music reflects the diverse membership with their music including a range of music and cultural influences from across the globe including Angola and The Gambia. Members of TWC include singers & rappers Georgia May, Ryfe & KC2Phr3sh from Angola, Gambian singer Mota Masascey along with producer Musty from Northumberland working on the music & production.
TWC are currently working on a collaborative album with the Hexham based band Snazzy Kex which is infused with global influences such as funk, hip-hop, soul, afrobeat & reggae to make a unique sound which is uplifting and concious lyrics about the world and life telling stories as they go. It is music they describe as “music for the head, the heart & the hips”.
TWC have a mission to spread unity, warmth and #ONLYGOODNESS through our music “everywhere we go we are sharing the love” as our lyrics say. So alongside our recordings and live gigs our actions include setting up a music and arts community project in The Gambia called Time for Change Foundation which aims to harness the power of music to improve participants lives both in The Gambia and the UK.
