Biography
Ethan Joseph Cole was born on November 19th, 1990 in Kansas City, Missouri. He was raised on country music, and from an early age fell in love with the songs of Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings, George Jones, and George Strait. While still a young boy, Ethan took piano lessons before being introduced to his all-time favorite band, Metallica. This discovery prompted him to pick up the guitar. Around this time, he also found his love for singing, performing, and writing his own music. He played in local rock bands from the time he was eleven until he was eighteen, but knew he wanted to take his music career to the next level. After his local rock act was going nowhere fast, Ethan went in search for musicians who shared his same vision and passion. Through ads and mutual friends, he finally linked up with his now guitar player and business partner, Dylan Maloney. Together, with the addition of C.C. Ellis and Dillon Gasca, they formed the rock band Syn City Cowboys. The group toured off and on from 2009 to 2014, and even had one single, “Control Freak,” land in the top 100 on Billboard’s Rock Charts. Two albums and five years later, the band decided to hang it up and pursue other avenues in music. Ethan, Dylan, and Dillon sought to maintain their partnership and decided to begin writing and producing a modern country record bearing Ethan’s name.
They soon returned to Ethan’s country roots but held a firm grasp on the rock edge that has been so integral to their musical upbringings. Fast forward to 2019, and they’re all in Nashville preparing to promote their newly minted, eleven-song record titled “Only Way I Know.” The album was release worldwide on April 12th, 2019 and will be followed by extensive tour dates.
