His sound comes directly from the seventies, looks back at the old country tradition of Hank Williams and smirks at the sixties, moving towards some crunchy rock’n’roll filled with a punk attitude. TBAY moved his first steps back in 2008, playing shows in his hometown Roma (Italy) and shortly thereafter touring abroad. He released his first 7” “Become The Whiskey” in 2010 and he’s been riding up and down the highway since, playing over 5 hundreds shows and spreading his music all over the Ol’ Country. During the last five years he has released two full-length albums and four 7inches, he shared a split with The Ribeye Brothers (Monster Magnet’s former members) and another with The Cyborgs, toured with The Bulemics and Reverse Cowgirls, and shared the bills with the likes of Bob Log III, Lords Of Altamont, King Automatic, Urban Junior, Freeborn Brothers, Dave Arcari, Luke Winslowking and many others... Gianni TBAY has worked with many indipendent record labels such as Off Label, Burning Sound, Escape From Today, Sonatine Produzioni, Primitive Records, Brigadisco and Bloody Sound Fucktory, and founded his own Deer It Yourself Records in order to be as free as possible and walk his way through the ruthless music world.
