Hi Brenda Carolina and welcome to LiveTrigger Magazine! Let’s start by introducing your project: what does make it unique and where is based?
Hi! My name is Brenda Carolina and I’m a singer based in Cremona, an hour south from Milan in Italy.
I’m also a songwriter who tries to speaks about every facet of the human soul.
I love every genre of music, so it’s difficult to label my songs, but I think that’s what makes it unique!

How was your 2020 so far?
Well let’s say that I can divide it in two very different periods: one marked by depression – I was eating sooo much and spending the whole day watching movies – but during the second one – let’s say from April on – I really gave this year a twist.
I focused so much on my career, wrote so many songs and finally ended up with so many, I decided to release a new song once a month!
What’s the most exciting thing that happened to you recently?
Well I could say that I was in the Voice of Italy last year, that would be an obvious answer though.
I think in the last few months I finally got to figure out who I am, both artistically and personally.
And I must say it was one of the most difficult, of course, but also one of the best experiences ever.
Where do you get inspiration and how do you create your music?
Inspiration comes all of a sudden.
It happened that I had to wake up in the middle of the night to grab my phone to record something that I was dreaming more than once.
And it makes me so mad that sometimes i’m not quick enough and I forget the melody, and that’s lost forever…
But thankfully that’s not always how it works haha I usually sit down if front of my computer or piano and find a couple chords and a short simple melody.
The beginning it’s the most difficult part, after that I just let my feelings do the dirty job.
Also, I do it when I’m feeling any kind of vibe (sad, happy, chill, angry, bored…) which changes really quickly…
I’m like cancer you know, so I’m really moody.
What is your best and your worst memory on the road?
Well I’ve been doing this for almost ten years now, as a solo artist, as a chorister, in bands…
The worst one I would say…
When I was 18 I was having such bad flu but still had to perform, It was terrible.
My whole body wasn’t responding to my commands,
Weird noises came from my mouth…
That night I figured out that even if I know how much effort, time, practice, and study I put into this, one bad night can let people think you’re worth nothing.
But you have to keep in mind that you’re human.
You’re allowed to have a bad performance once in a while. It doesn’t make you a bad musician.
The best one…
Oh I remember when my second song came out after the talent show. I received so much love and felt like my music had such a deep purpose.
I felt amazing!
What do you think about Livetrigger?
I think it’s so useful!
Not only I had the chance to make new people listen to my music, But it also gives the opportunity for a beginner to find musicians, gigs, learn about new music…
Unfortunately this wasn’t a thing when I began!
