Yeah, we’re always pretty excited to keep more music out there
What is the process you use to create your music?
We really have no set process, I would write songs at the home, and bring them in. Then when we’re rehearsing them, the structure gets changed up and people start adding ideas in etc. Sometimes Ray come in with an idea or riff and we build from that.
What are your favourite artists and/or composers?
There are heaps ranging from Paul Kelly, The Cure, Gang of Youths, Powderfinger, Violent Soho, Paul Simon.
Do they have anything in common?
They all love and write music.
How did they influence your style & sound?
I guess by just listening to their music, that has a subconscious influence whether you like it or not.
However, Paul Kelly and Powderfinger have influence my lyric writing quite significantly though.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
Well we’re about to release our next single called “Weekend Blues”, then we have another single to come out after that next year. Then we’re planning to release poison oak new EP, which will have all those singles on it.
What do you think about Livetrigger?
Well.. I’m not really sure. I guess it’s always awesome to be working with magazines that are keen to help promote your music.
