Hi Pressure, and welcome to LiveTrigger Magazine! We are really excited to support you in this new exciting release. Tell us everything about it.
The song’s name is “What You See” or “Vad Du Ser” if you listen to the Swedish version.
It’s a song about the pressures around you, to be something that fits into society.
In today’s world, there is a lot of preconceptions and prejudices, and if you are not like everyone else then people start to talk behind your back or try to put pressure on you, to be more like a “normal” person.
We, Pressure believe that there is no such thing as a “normal” person, there are just suppressed people that want to be set free, but cannot, because the “normal” and “society” will not let them.
Everyone has dreams – dare to live them.
Everyone has inner strength – do not let anyone tell you otherwise.
Be yourself, show us what and who you are. Stand up, stand tall. What You See Is What You Get!
Are you excited about this single launch?
Of course, this is our 6th single release. For every release, we have gained more and more followers and more people have discovered us. It’s always fun to see what people think about our new songs.
What is the process you used to create your music?
Simon, (the collector) collects stories all around him, by talking and interacting with people. That gives him ideas for lyrics riffs and melodies. He records everything from drums, bass, guitars, and vocals. He shows me and Emil his idea/draft, and I (Olof) interview Simon about what he wants to say, to be sure everybody will get the message. I re-record it with my vocals and pretty often changing the key, parts, or words of the lyrics and parts of the melody. (Sometimes almost no changes at all) After that Simon and I start recording together, setting harmonies, take it home and all of us listen to it. Comes up with more ideas/changes, rerecord it. Take it home, listen to it… And after a few rounds when we feel, we cannot do it better than this, we record the “final version” and send it to our fantastic producers for mixing and mastering.
And what about the video?
The video shows a lot of everyday people that just want to be set free, to be and what they want to be without people telling them they should do it the “normal way”.
What are your favorite artists and/or composers?
It depends on what day you ask me, and in what mood I’m in. But today I would say Queen, Robbie Williams, Sara Brightman, Thåström, Lars Winnerbäck and Rammstein
Do they have anything in common?
They are great performers and/or do what they do with heart and soul.
How did they influence your style & sound?
They haven’t. And they all have, but we don’t try to sound like anybody else. If you listen to the different artists I listed above, you will see they are from very different genres, but they make good music. We are a mix of very many artists/bands, so I can’t say that there is someone particular that inspired us to sound in a certain way. It’s a mix of really talented people that influence us and in a subconscious way. We are probably very influenced by very many, but we can’t say/don’t know who…
What’s the most exciting thing that happened to you recently?
It’s probably this single release or the realization that I want to be a full-time musician. Until now, this has “only” been a very serious hobby to me.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
World domination? He he no, we will very soon release our first Metal Story album “Path Of A Shadow” soon after that an EP in German. If its possible go out and do some live gigs.
What do you think about Livetrigger?
It’s great to find a platform that puts musicians and bookers together. Helps a lot for independent bands.
