Wayne De Souza’s tech-house single “Solo” for UFO Recordz got released!

Wayne De Souza just released his new tech-house single “Solo” for UFO Recordz. He plays a melodic type of tech house mixed with melodic techno in a great way!

Hi Wayne, welcome to LiveTrigger Magazine!

Let’s start by introducing your project: what is it and where is based?

Well, my new project I am busy with is a Tech House track.

I would say a melodic type of Tech House Track.

I got my inspiration from the driving tech house tunes that I enjoy and the melodic techno.

So I kind of wanted to fuse both together.

Stay Tuned for that little number 😉

How was your 2019 so far?

It’s been quite a productive year for me I must say.

In studio I’ve been experimenting with different technics in my production.

Using a lot of natural elements to add to my production.

And on the DJ side… the gigs have been amazing.

Met some amazing people along the way.

And seen some great clubs and events popping up as well.

So 2019 has been a great & blessed year for me.

Tell us about your new single launch, how was it?

The launch of my new single “Solo” has been absolutely amazing.

Some great feedback I have gotten back. And mainly I want to say that UFO Recordz (which the track is signed under) Has done such an amazing job getting my track out there. I really appreciate their hard work.

What’s the most exciting thing that happened to you recently?

Well I have recently worked together with some amazing producers.

Showing me some awesome tips & tricks, which I am really excited to showcase in my future production.

And received some new production gear to try out as well.

Super excited about that.

Where do you get inspiration and how do you create your music?

I usually get my inspiration from different tracks from my favourite artist that they release.

And I take that certain track and I use the same VIBE in my own production.

Obviously not copying the track.

But using the vibe it gives off and using the selected track as a reference when doing the mixdown.

I use Ableton Live as my DAW & to get the natural elements as I said before, I use a Zoom Recorder to record these certain sounds.

Who are your favourite artists in your local scene and how did they influence your style & sound?

I would say my favourite local artist is the amazing Ryan Murgatroyd.

A lot of the tracks he releases gives me a lot of inspiration for my own production.

Whether it’s to with drums or percussion, somewhere there is always an inspiration I can use.

What’s the best live music show you’ve seen recently?

I would say the recent live show I’ve seen recently was Jacks Cab playing at “The Living Room” in Johannesburg.

Such an amazing DJ & Producer & a personal friend.

(And he is the Mastering Engineer for my project.)

What is your best and your worst memory on the road?

The best memory on the road I would say is meeting the most amazing people and creating a friendship with these individuals.

Those are the best memories with the best people.

And the worse I would say is losing DJ gear at gigs such as losing USB sticks or the USB stick with all your music for that certain gig gets corrupted somehow.

What do you think about Livetrigger?

I think Live Trigger is amazing.

I think it’s an awesome way to receive more work as an artist.

Great job to the guys and girls who is part of this project.
